Job Responsibilities Facilitating the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures. Ensuring the operating room environment is safe and that all equipment functions accurately. Improving patient safety by implementing sterile and aseptic techniques. Combining knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and the use of tools and technologies to support therapeutic and diagnostic procedures. Potential to service as a lead surgical technologist responsible for a service line, if required. Requirements Education High School Diploma (Minimum) Completion of accredited surgical technologist program (minimum) Experience Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist. Preferred 4 years of experience in a similar role. Advanced experience in either cardiac, neurosurgery, orthopedics, or general surgical procedures (Minimum). Prior experience caring for patients in a pediatric trauma facility (Preferred). Licenses and Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Providers (AHA) (Minimum). National Certification of Surgical Technology (Minimum). Additional Requirements Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team to efficiently implement surgical procedures. A candidate’s placement in the range will be determined based on the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
