Integration Consultant for Epic Systems

with robust expertise in

Epic APIs, FHIR, and HL7

to facilitate seamless integrations between Wardly and Epic EHR environments. This is a

contract role

that offers the perfect opportunity for someone who thrives in startup settings and can provide both technical insight and strategic guidance on interoperability. Key Responsibilities Consult on and implement integration workflows between Epic EHR and Wardly. Configure and support data exchange using

FHIR APIs (R4, SMART on FHIR)

and

HL7 messaging . Collaborate with the product and engineering teams at Wardly to design scalable and compliant integration solutions. Ensure all integrations comply with

HIPAA and healthcare data security standards . Troubleshoot integration challenges and recommend best practices for collaboration with hospital IT. Provide

lightweight documentation and knowledge transfer

to the Wardly team. Qualifications Epic certification (e.g., Epic Bridges, Epic Integration, or relevant modules). 3+ years of experience in Epic systems integration, with strong knowledge of FHIR/HL7. Hands-on experience with API design, EHR interoperability, and healthcare data standards. Knowledge of compliance frameworks (HIPAA, PHI/PII handling). Excellent communication skills, able to work effectively with both technical and clinical stakeholders. Nice to Have Experience integrating Epic with third-party clinical or workflow tools. Familiarity with

Mirth Connect, Rhapsody, or Cloverleaf . Experience working in early-stage or startup environments. Engagement Details Flexible, remote consulting role. Initial commitment of
