17.00 - 25.50 Job Summary As a Nursing Assistant (NA), you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and resident-centered care in our long-term care facility. Your responsibilities will include: Assisting residents with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting under the supervision of a registered nurse. Providing basic healthcare support, including obtaining and recording vital signs. Offering psychological support and facilitating emotional well-being for residents. Assisting with mobility needs, such as transferring, repositioning, and walking. Engaging residents during meal times, ensuring a positive dining experience while assisting with meal preparation and service. Documenting resident interactions and communicating changes to the nursing staff. Maintaining cleanliness in the living areas and supporting housekeeping tasks. Encouraging resident participation in wellness and recreational programs. Essential qualities for this role include compassion, strong communication skills, and a commitment to following infection prevention and control protocols. Qualifications High school diploma or GED is preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age. Prior experience in long-term care is preferred. Required to have or obtain Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification within four months of employment. Completion of annual competency testing and a minimum of 12 hours of continuing education annually.
