An innovative technology company is hiring its first dedicated Platform Engineer to work directly with the CTO on scaling a cutting-edge Kubernetes-based AWS and Cloudflare edge infrastructure. This is a full-time hybrid role where you'll architect, automate, and optimize systems that power high-throughput AI and data workloads, accelerate Developer Experience, and strengthen compliance posture.
This is a rare opportunity to own the platform vision at an early stage and make a lasting impact. You'll be hands-on with everything from Cloudflare Workers at the edge to multi-cluster Kubernetes on EKS, while building secure CI/CD pipelines and observability frameworks. This role offers a chance to be foundational to the company's success.
Required Skills & Experience • 2+ years running production Kubernetes or EKS environments at scale • Strong expertise with Docker and container fundamentals • Proven experience with Terraform for AWS infrastructure automation • Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript (Cloudflare Workers, Node services, related tooling) • Solid CI/CD and GitOps background (GitHub Actions, automated testing, Helm) • Experience with observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Alertmanager, distributed tracing
Desired Skills & Experience • Background with Zero Trust networking, secure build pipelines, or DevSecOps practices • Experience managing Postgres data layers with row-level security and authentication workflows • Knowledge of compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST 800-171, CMMC Level 2) • FinOps cost optimization strategies in AWS • Contributions to open source or familiarity with AI tooling for Developer Experience
