The Senior Project Manager at Powers & Sons Construction is responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of construction projects, while mentoring multiple Project Managers and Engineers. This role requires proven leadership in managing large-scale construction projects and developing talent within our organization. Position Overview The Senior Project Manager at Powers & Sons Construction is responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of construction projects, while mentoring multiple Project Managers and Engineers. Key Responsibilities Direct and supervise project administration, project superintendents, and engineers to establish operational priorities Produce all elements of project execution plans and ensure effective implementation Provide jobsite leadership in the areas of safety and quality assurance Maintain satisfactory relationships with property owners, subcontractors, unions, and other stakeholders Mentor and develop junior project management staff and engineers Core Competencies Leverage Business Insights – Understand and act on industry trends, local market conditions, and Powers & Sons' business model to make informed decisions and create competitive advantage. Deploy a Strategic Mindset – Take a comprehensive, forward-thinking perspective when considering proactive solutions to long-term opportunities and risks that may develop in the future. Display Emotional Intelligence – Demonstrate the capacity to recognize feelings and behavioral patterns in yourself and others. Education & Experience Requirements BS or MS degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field 10-15 years of experience in lead project management roles on projects valued at $50-100 million or larger Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong technical and communication skills are essential Proven ability to work effectively in collaborative team environments Proficiency in Procore and Microsoft Office applications (preferred) Demonstrated leadership experience in construction project management Strong understanding of construction processes, safety protocols, and quality standards Powers & Sons Construction is committed to building excellence through experienced leadership and innovative project management.
