We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Microservices API Developer with a strong background in building and maintaining microservice architectures. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the baking or food production domain, understanding industry-specific requirements such as inventory management, recipe formulation, supply chain logistics, or product traceability. The ideal candidate will lead the design, development, and deployment of microservices APIs, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, QA, DevOps, and domain experts to deliver innovative solutions. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain RESTful microservices APIs using Java (Spring Boot or similar frameworks). Lead technical architecture discussions and drive best practices for microservice design, including scalability, reliability, and security. Integrate microservices with frontend applications, external partners, and third-party systems. Optimize APIs for performance and scalability; implement monitoring, logging, and exception handling. Collaborate with product owners and domain experts to understand business requirements within the baking field. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to quality standards. Conduct code reviews and mentor junior team members. Perform troubleshooting, resolve production issues, and implement continuous improvements. Maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment strategies. Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in microservice architecture and Java development. Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. 10+ years of experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and related ecosystem. Hands-on experience with REST API design, Swagger/OpenAPI, and microservices communication patterns (HTTP, messaging queues, Kafka, etc.). Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform). Knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis). Solid understanding of OAuth, JWT, API security best practices. Experience leveraging DevOps tools like Jenkins, Git, Maven, and automation strategies. Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills. Experience within the Baking or Food Production industry is highly preferred, with knowledge of domain-specific workflows, terminology, and compliance standards.
