Job Summary Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales professional to join their team as

Vice President of Client Development . This role is dedicated to client acquisition, owning the full front-end sales cycle from discovery through proposal and close. The VP does not create financial plans or manage ongoing client relationships; once a new client is secured, they are transitioned to the advisory team for planning and servicing. The VP will work primarily with high-net-worth prospects ($1M+ investable assets) generated through our marketing channels while also building new opportunities through local business development and Centers of Influence (COI) relationships. As the first dedicated client development hire in this office, the VP will play a pivotal role in shaping the firm’s local growth trajectory and client acquisition strategy.

Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct discovery and introductory meetings with qualified prospects from marketing channels.

Develop additional opportunities through local networking, COI relationships, and targeted business development efforts.

Present the firm’s comprehensive wealth management and planning solutions in a clear, compelling, and consultative manner.

Manage the sales pipeline from qualification through close, ensuring a disciplined and consistent process.

Collaborate with marketing, advisors, and client service teams to ensure seamless onboarding and a positive client experience.

Represent the firm professionally in the community, reinforcing its reputation as a trusted partner for high-net-worth families.

Qualifications

5+ years of successful sales or business development experience in financial services

Demonstrated success in both inbound lead conversion and outbound opportunity generation (e.g., COIs, referrals, local business development)

Strong understanding of wealth management concepts, financial planning, and investment strategies

Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build trust and explain complex topics simply and persuasively

Required: FINRA Series 65 or FINRA Series 7 and Series 66

Compensation

The expected first-year base salary is $150,000; compensation includes a percentage of the estimated first year’s management fees for new business closed.

This role offers uncapped performance-based compensation with the possibility of mid to high 6 figures within 2-3 years.
