As part of the Sales & Marketing team, you’ll help solve challenges and tailor easy-to-use solutions to deliver performance for clients with 1,500+ employees. Position Overview
This role operates in a fast-paced, quota-driven environment with a focus on organizations with 1,500 or more employees. The position requires proactive field engagement to identify and develop opportunities for HCM solutions. Key attributes include a consultative sales approach, strong prospecting skills, persistence, and a solid understanding of Paylocity’s product offering. Primary Responsibilities
Determine prospective customers’ needs for Payroll, Human Resources and more, then present Paylocity services to meet those needs to large organizations with 1,500+ employees. Work in a team selling environment where internal sales support partners increase closing percentage. Prepare and present proposals and provide appropriate follow-up throughout the sales process. Complete and obtain documentation required for the conversion of data from the client’s previous payroll provider to the Paylocity system; work with internal departments to ensure a smooth transition. Develop prospects through cold calling, referrals, professional and personal contacts, and other sources. Attend Paylocity-sponsored trade shows, conferences, and other events to promote Paylocity services. Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas for the territory. Geographic travel within a defined territory. Other duties as assigned. Education And Experience
5+ years of experience in a quota-driven, business-to-business sales position. Experience selling to organizations with 500+ employees at an enterprise level. Proven ability to communicate effectively to the C-Suite. Proven ability with sales prospecting and closing. Ability to succeed in a competitive environment. Critical thinking and decision-making skills to handle objections and unexpected situations in the sales cycle. Customer service orientation — the client always comes first. Strong presentation skills to effectively represent Paylocity and help clients visualize benefits. Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong listening, organizational, and time management skills. Strong partnering skills. Proficiency with MS Office; experience with sales automation software desirable. HS diploma or equivalent required. College degree strongly desired. This role offers a competitive salary, commissions, and incentives. Physical Requirements
Mobility required for sitting, standing and walking. Mobility required for driving to prospective client sites. Manual/finger dexterity required in both hands to operate a computer keyboard and manipulate small objects. Sensory ability required to see, hear, and touch. Mental effort required for reading, writing, visualization, calculation, and analysis. Job duties typically performed in an office environment with standard temperatures and air conditions. Work Arrangement
Fully remote (U.S. only): This is a fully remote position allowing you to work from home or your location of record within the U.S. with no in-office requirements. You must be available five days per week during designated work hours. The work arrangement may change based on business needs and performance, including potential adjustments to on-site requirements. Compensation and Benefits
The pay for this position is $125,000/year; base pay offered may vary by knowledge, skills, and experience. This role is eligible for variable commission, annual bonus, and restricted stock based on performance, in addition to a full range of benefits described by Paylocity.
