Axsome Therapeutics is seeking a Medical Science Liaison/Senior Medical Science Liaison to focus on Alzheimer’s Disease Agitation. The MSL/Sr. MSL will be a key member of the Field Medical Affairs team and will be the primary communicator of science, responsible for executing the national medical affairs plan within a specified territory. The MSL/Sr. MSL will also provide support as needed for other pipeline programs. This is a field-based position covering the Great Lakes region (MI, IN, IL, WI, IA, MN, ND, SD, NE). Candidates must reside within the geography. Responsibilities

Systematically identify and develop relationships with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and key opinion leaders (KOLs) to raise awareness of Client’s mission to accelerate the invention and adoption of life-changing medicines for patients living with CNS disorders Develop and maintain deep knowledge of neuropsychiatry, approved pipeline medications, and the competitive landscape in the specified therapeutic area Provide fair and balanced scientific information to HCPs and internal business partners Provide formal presentations to HCPs and external stakeholders upon request Communicate meaningful insights from peer-to-peer discussions with HCPs Identify, analyze, and translate specific needs within the territory to achieve clinical and business objectives Collaborate with internal partners to advance clinical and business objectives Build and maintain technical and clinical expertise in neuropsychiatry and related neuroscience areas Contribute to the growth and development of the National Field Medical Team Document field activities, submit medical insights, respond to medical information requests, manage expenses, complete trainings, and perform other related tasks Provide high-level support for company-sponsored trials and assist with investigator-initiated research proposals when needed Qualifications

Advanced degree (MD, DO, PharmD or PhD) required Previous MSL experience preferred Preference for Alzheimer’s Disease or Geriatric Psychiatry experience Residence within the geographic area Ability to travel up to 50-75%, including overnight stays and weekends, as needed Meet requirements for health industry credentialing to access healthcare facilities within the territory Experience, Knowledge And Skills

Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, autonomous environment with evolving business needs Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced company and adjust workload to priorities Experience as an MSL or in neuropsychiatry Demonstrated leadership among MSL peers and cross-functional partners Proactive in communication to leadership Ability to contribute to the overall field medical strategy Salary & Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this role is $150,000 - $200,000. There may be flexibility on final title and responsibilities. The offer will be based on experience, qualifications, internal equity, and location. The package includes an annual bonus, equity, and a comprehensive benefits program.
