$30-35/hr Summary Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled
Media Relations Analyst
to support our federal client on-site in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate is a communications professional with a strong background in media tracking, public affairs, and press engagement. As a key player on the team, you will manage the flow of media inquiries, monitor press coverage, and produce high-impact communications materials. Essential Functions Tracking, managing, and logging incoming and outgoing media inquiries. Providing regular metrics and analytics on media relations functions and press coverage. Compiling and distributing press clips on a daily basis. Drafting press releases, public affairs guidance, and other media relations products. Coordinating with internal stakeholders to ensure messaging consistency across platforms. Supporting crisis communication efforts by preparing rapid response materials. Assisting in planning and executing press events, briefings, and media engagements. Understanding the organizational policies and procedures for accuracy of solutions and deliverables to the client. Demonstrating a commitment to quality and customer support. Required Education & Training Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, media, or a related field WITH four or more years of relevant experience, OR Master’s degree in business, communications, media or a related field WITH two or more years of relevant experience Minimum Experience & Skills Required Four or more years of experience Experience and understanding of media relations and associated analytics Experience in industry standard media metrics software (i.e. Cision, Meltwater) Must have the ability to obtain the client’s Public Trust clearance Excellent written and verbal communication skills A highly motivated self-starter Must be motivated and have excellent customer service skills
