Marketing and Business Development Manager

Greenberg Traurig, LLP is seeking a Marketing and Business Development Manager to join our Boston office. This role focuses on marketing, business development and communications initiatives to elevate the firm’s brand in the Boston market. The position reports to the firm’s Director of Marketing and works with a variety of professionals, including supervision of a junior marketing team member and an events person in Boston. Location: Boston, MA. Regular in-office presence is required for day-to-day operations, events, team meetings, training opportunities and relationship building. Overview

Join our Marketing Team as a Marketing and Business Development Manager in Boston. We seek a highly skilled professional who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Excellent communication and client-service skills are essential to collaborate across teams and deliver strategic solutions in the Boston legal market. This role involves coordinating with the regional Director of Marketing and other professionals to execute marketing and business development initiatives, manage projects, and support practice groups and attorneys in achieving strategic goals. Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with attorneys and managers to promote the firm’s marketing goals in the Boston market. Develop relationships with attorneys to serve as point of contact for day-to-day marketing and business development needs; understand the market, office initiatives and key client representations. Manage directory submissions including Chambers and other directories. Strategize with shareholders on RFPs and proposals; analyze market research, prospective clients and business sectors; draft responses and prepare presentations as needed. Coordinate with colleagues to identify media opportunities and nominations; prepare data for nominations, media surveys and reports. Write, edit and distribute marketing materials, newsletters, conference materials, client updates and website content. Recommend and support office sponsorships, memberships and event attendance to increase visibility and influence in the Boston market. Plan, organize and host client events, coordinate concepts and agendas with attorneys, manage invitations and venue coordination; evaluate ROI and manage budgets. Coordinate with firmwide marketing on client-facing and internal materials for Boston, including attorney bios, practice area descriptions, updates, press releases, website content, etc. Prepare welcome materials for new attorneys and help integrate lateral partners, including prioritizing internal meetings. Coordinate information flow from attorneys to marketing professionals; ensure content on the website, bios and Qorus is current. Develop and support business plans with individual shareholders and practice group leaders aligned to firm goals. Demonstrate knowledge of the Boston market, business community and key charitable/civic organizations. Assist with and manage various short- and long-term projects and attorney requests.
