The temporary Compensation Analyst is an entry-level role and works as part of the Compensation team to provide support for Human Resource compensation actions. This role will assist with classification, pay/market analysis, survey responses, organizational review, and HR Information System data auditing.
Job Description:
The Compensation Analyst will collaborate with Human Resource Partners across the institution to provide information, guidance and support on Compensation processes, workflows, and data to assist departments accomplish position creations, reclassifications, promotions, reorganizations, and market/equity studies. This role will be the point of contact for the Compensation team as well as reviewing job descriptions, gathering market analysis, handling the ServiceNow portal for the Compensation Team, and supporting various compensation projects and processes to ensure alignment with the organization’s strategic goals and budget. UPDATED $68,000 - $70,000 annually Required Education And Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent 1 - 2 years of relevant experience 1 - 3 years of experience in HR, compensation, or data analysis Proficient in Microsoft Excel and HRIS systems (e.g., Workday) Strong analytical and organizational, and ability to prepare clear reports Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy Good written and verbal communication skills Preferred Education And Experience:
Bachelor's degree 3 - 5 years of relevant experience Experience in higher education is strongly preferred Experience working with colleagues at all levels with a customer-focused mindset Experience with high volume compensation action/position management reviews Certification in Compensation preferred (e.g., CCP or equivalent) Experience with Workday and Marketpay Basic understanding of employment laws and pay regulations Travel Required:
