Job Responsibilities:
Uphold clinic guidelines and standards related to patient confidentiality (HIPAA). Monitor and keep assigned EPIC revenue cycle work queues completed and cleared. Register new patients. Correct demographic, insurance and financial data entry into EPIC as needed to correct work queue lists. Effectively verify insurance eligibility and self-pay coverages, making necessary updates and edits to individual patients. Cover for PFS as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Identify and report systems and staff error patterns. Assist in maintenance/protection of patient privacy by proactively upholding clinic guidelines and standards related to patient confidentiality.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Basic typing and computer proficiency. Exceptional attendance record. Strong time management with the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. Self-motivated, able to work independently. Experience with office equipment: multi-functional printer/copier/fax, multi-phone system, calculator. Computer Skills: Experience with MS Office, EPIC, EMR/EPM systems. Ability to relate well to people from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Bilingual (Spanish/English) required.
