About the Role:
The Accounting Manager is responsible for financial reports preparation and review. The incumbent ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying and consolidating transactions in conformance with generally accepted accounting principles and provides oversight of accounting closing process and participates in periodic audits and reviews. This is an onsite role, located at our Arch Street, Greenwich office. Responsibilities: Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department including month and year-end process, accounts payable, general ledger and journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and analyses, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, monitor fixed asset and capital grants activity and subsystem. Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and produce financial reports and statements for management and Board of Directors. Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles. Annual completion of 1099s. Work closely with auditors. Other duties as assigned. Requirements and Competencies: Knowledge of GAAP non-profit accounting. Excellent Excel Skills. Ability to handle various tasks with competing priorities. Ability to communicate effectively with strong verbal and written skills. Adhere to policies regarding confidentiality. Ability to show leadership capacity and to work as part of a team. Strong computer knowledge enabling usage of MS office, accounting and billing software. Education and Experience: BS Accounting. Minimum 5 years GAAP accounting experience. Advanced Excel and computer system skills. Rewards:
