Overview
The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Engagement Manager (EM) to lead the delivery of complex cloud solution projects. This role combines technical expertise with strong project leadership to drive successful AWS-based implementations for clients. The EM bridges business requirements with technical solutions, facilitates technical discussions, and ensures alignment with customer outcomes using AWS frameworks like Well-Architected and Cloud Adoption Framework, while demonstrating credibility across diverse stakeholders. As you progress, you will lead increasingly complex technical projects, shape cross-organizational technical strategies, establish best practices in your domain, and communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and business audiences. You will manage project plans, proactively identify and manage risks, resolve issues, escalate when appropriate, and drive projects to successful completion while exceeding customer expectations. About AWS Professional Services: a global team helping customers realize desired business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud. We collaborate with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives, offering guidance through a range of services to support enterprise cloud adoption and specialized practices across technologies and industries. AWS Global Services includes experts across AWS who help customers design, build, operate, and secure cloud environments, with a broad ecosystem including AWS Training and Certification, AWS Support and Managed Services, and AWS Security Assurance Services. Our team spans many countries and experts, aimed at helping customers achieve more with the AWS cloud. Key responsibilities
Leading and managing complex cloud migration and implementation projects Leveraging knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and best practices to guide technical decisions and strategic planning Bridging business requirements with technical solutions, facilitating engineering discussions, and ensuring alignment with customer business outcomes Distilling customer needs into clear technical requirements and mapping them to business outcomes Decomposing complex technical problems into actionable, deliverable solutions Contributing to technical documentation and defining documentation standards Qualifications
8+ years experience in cloud computing Experience in project management of technical programs Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience 12+ years of direct client relationship management experience, including presentations to C-level executives and management of enterprise accounts valued at $5M+ annually 12+ years experience conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences Preferred qualifications
AWS experience preferred Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate Strong understanding of AWS services, architectures, and best practices Experience applying AWS frameworks like Well-Architected and Cloud Adoption Framework Proven ability to establish technical credibility with engineering teams and senior technical decision-makers Proven success managing multiple stakeholders in complex enterprise environments, with ability to adapt to team dynamics, cultural nuances, and varying operating styles Demonstrates ability to present to C-level executives and technical experts, driving discussions on best practices, project management, and risk mitigation About diversity and inclusion

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $164,500/year to $284,300/year, with pay based on location, knowledge, skills, and experience. This position will remain posted until filled.
