Senior Principal Electrical Engineer Job Opening in the Peachtree, Georgia Area

We are in search of a Senior Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the development and implementation of equipment installations within capital projects for a leading manufacturing entity. This role requires an individual who can manage complex projects remotely with a readiness to travel domestically up to 60% of the time, especially at the outset. Responsibilities: Oversee the process design development, procurement, installation, and commissioning of equipment within capital projects. Lead the continuous improvement of process plant design in partnership with key operational teams. Develop initial designs, detailed plans, and layouts for assigned projects, ensuring they transition from feasibility studies to fully realized installations. Collaborate with project managers to deliver project components safely, within budget, and on schedule. Manage the comprehensive scope of assigned projects from design through to operational handover, including all associated documentation and training materials. Regularly update and maintain design best practices in collaboration with the technical office. Create and track schedules, ensuring the engineering team adheres to deadlines and performance metrics. Participate in project design phases, offering expertise and ensuring adherence to the company's project execution manual and checklists. Qualifications: An Engineering Degree in Electrical or Chemical Engineering is required. A minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering roles related to capital equipment projects, preferably within a continuous process manufacturing environment. Proven experience in operations and executing multiple projects. Expert knowledge in the design of piping systems and industrial manufacturing processes. Proficiency in reading engineering plan drawings and experience with various types of industrial equipment installations. Familiarity with material handling systems and web handling experience is highly desirable.
