Director of Engineering

Are you ready to lead engineering operations at the forefront of beverage manufacturing? We’re seeking a Head of Engineering Operations to drive operational excellence, oversee facility projects, and ensure seamless collaboration across teams in a high-growth aseptic beverage environment. What You’ll Do Lead the Engineering team in planning, developing, and implementing systems and processes that optimize performance and reduce downtime. Oversee capital projects, renovations, and facility expansions, ensuring cost-effective execution and minimal production disruption. Partner with Maintenance, EH&S, Process, Controls, and Reliability Engineering to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations. Manage budgets (CapEx, training, consulting) and ensure effective resource allocation. Guide new equipment contracts, design specifications, and engineering drawings. Oversee the CMMS system to track maintenance and engineering activities. Collaborate with Production to plan downtime windows, coordinate shutdowns, and integrate technical work. Drive continuous improvement through process mapping, root-cause problem solving, and adoption of new technologies. Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing engineering team. Ensure compliance with SQF, Food Safety Standards, GMPs, and FDA/PMO requirements. What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical); MBA preferred. 10+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing, including 5–7 years leading capital projects and budgets. Strong knowledge of FDA, GMP, and PMO design requirements; aseptic beverage or low-acid packaging experience preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, ERP/CRM systems, and MES systems. Demonstrated success in facility/line improvements, scheduling around production downtimes, and driving efficiency through continuous improvement. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
