Role Description This is a full-time on-site/hybrid role for a Senior Tax Manager located in St Louis, MO. The Senior Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing tax planning, tax compliance, tax preparation, and staying updated with the latest tax laws. The role includes supervising, coaching, and mentoring a team of tax professionals, reviewing/signing tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal and state tax regulations, and providing strategic tax advice to clients. Key Responsibilities Lead the review and final sign-off of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts Provide advanced tax planning, research, and consulting services across federal, state, and (as applicable) international tax areas Lead technical discussions with clients, providing proactive advice on tax savings strategies, regulatory changes, and risk management Oversee and guide clients through special projects (entity structuring, succession planning, etc.) Supervise, mentor, and develop staff at all levels; provide regular coaching and feedback Manage engagement workflow, budgets, and deadlines, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Partner with leadership on firm initiatives, including AI integration and process improvements Develop cost estimates and proposals for new client engagements Qualifications 8+ years of public accounting experience Expertise in Tax Planning and Tax Compliance Strong knowledge of Tax Law and regulations Demonstrated experience reviewing and signing tax returns for a variety of entity types Proven supervisory experience with the ability to lead, train, and mentor staff Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills CPA or EA designation Our firm uses the following software (note: familiarity with all is not required but a plus) CCH Axcess: ProSystems Tax, Document, Workstream CCH Engagement QuickBooks Online and Desktop CCH Fixed Assets CCH Planning CCH AnswerConnect Benefits Full medical paid by the employer for each employee and percentage covered for employee’s family Dental, vision, LTD, STD, and life insurance 401(k) with immediate match and vest Generous PTO policy 10 Firm Holidays We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all qualified candidates.
