Tax Manager - CPA or EA

Salary : Base salary of $100,000 - $140,000 (negotiable based on experience) Job Summary : Our client, a small CPA firm in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, is seeking an experienced CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) to join the team for the upcoming tax season. The role focuses on preparing and reviewing individual and trust tax returns, while fostering strong client relationships in a collaborative office environment. Job Responsibilities : Prepare and review individual (1040) and trust (1041) tax returns (Optional) Assist with business returns (1120, 1120-S, 1065) if experienced Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations Provide excellent client service and answer tax-related questions professionally Assist with extensions, tax planning, and off-season projects as needed Collaborate with the team to ensure accuracy and efficiency during peak season Qualifications : Active CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) credential preferred CTEC license holders with substantial tax prep experience will be considered 15+ years of hands-on tax preparation experience Strong knowledge of tax software (Lacerte preferred) Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Must be available to work on-site at the Rancho Palos Verdes office during tax season Seniority level
