Cytotechnologist Full Time, Direct Hire
Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented
Cytotechnologist
to join our laboratory team in a
full-time, direct-hire
role. The Cytotechnologist will be responsible for preparing, examining, and evaluating cytology specimens to detect abnormal and cancerous cells. This position plays a vital role in providing accurate and timely diagnoses that support high-quality patient care. Responsibilities: Perform microscopic examination of gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens (including body fluids, fine needle aspirations, and other cytology samples).
Accurately screen and interpret cellular changes, documenting findings according to established protocols.
Collaborate with pathologists for review of abnormal, suspicious, or difficult cases.
Ensure compliance with laboratory policies, quality assurance, and regulatory standards (CLIA, CAP, etc.).
Maintain accurate records of workload, case documentation, and proficiency testing.
Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
Qualifications: Bachelor s Degree in Cytotechnology or a related science field.
Successful completion of an accredited Cytotechnology program.
ASCP Cytotechnologist (CT) certification
or eligibility required.
Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Prior experience in cytology preferred; new graduates with certification are encouraged to apply.
