Lab Quality/POCT Specialist . Responsibilities
Oversees the quality and efficiency of all laboratory procedures, regulatory compliance, quality assurance functions, and auditing activities Maintains and revises quality and regulatory procedures and quality indicators across the laboratory network in order to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, quality and patient safety Assists in conducting safety inspections and is responsible for the implementation of corrective action in order to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and safe working conditions Implements corrective actions to quality issues as needed and thoroughly documents changes, tracks relevant data, submits action plans to address problems or areas for improvement Educates and trains staff in the use of relevant technology and methodologies within the lab Responsible for planning, design, implementation, documentation, maintenance and support of the Point of Care Testing (POCT) systems throughout the hospital and laboratory Develops, evaluates, implements and monitors the POC Testing Quality Assessment and implement programs Requires strong analytical, organizational, communication and creativity skills in providing the necessary support to a complex clinical laboratory and hospital environment that includes multiple areas and departments Reviews test results and assures that reports and records are accurate and maintained properly Serves as technical consultant to help troubleshoot POC testing and computer issues Identify and implement mechanisms for process improvement at point of care labs Maintains logs of preventive maintenance in compliance with applicable regulatory standards Develops, evaluates, implements and monitors the POC Testing Quality Assessment and implement programs; Assists in preparing the laboratory department for regulatory inspections and responses Monitors laboratory testing performed, and participates in the implementation and use of point-of-care devices and tests Performs other job-related activities as requested Qualifications
Clinical Laboratory Technologist MT and/or MLS(ASCP) Masters degree Advanced proficiency with data analytics and familiarity with Performance Improvement tools Minimum 5 years' experience in the Medical Technology Field or Supervisory qualified by NJDOH Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience in related field Advanced computer proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint Salary and Benefits
Salary
commensurate with experience within posted range. Salary range: $35.00 to $48 per hour. We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including a competitive medical, dental, and vision plans.
