Overview
The IT Quality Sr Analyst is a seasoned professional responsible for applying in-depth disciplinary knowledge to improve processes and workflows within the IT Quality function. This role integrates subject matter and industry expertise, coordinates with related areas, and contributes to the function's objectives and the overall business. It involves evaluating moderately complex issues with potential impact, weighing various alternatives, and balancing conflicting information. Strong analytical and communication skills are required, and the role often includes informal or formal leadership and mentoring for junior team members. The position has significant impact on project size and scope through influencing decisions and ensuring the quality of tasks and services provided by self and others. Responsibilities
Responsible for initiatives related to the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process and product rollout into production, making recommendations for solutions and improvements. Responsibilities may also include software quality assurance testing. Conducts complex process monitoring, product evaluation and audit assignments; reports issues and makes recommendations for solutions. Ensure project standards and procedures exist, are clearly documented and followed throughout the software development life cycle; make recommendations for enhanced documentation. Monitor products for conformance to standards and processes; identify risks and recommend solutions; ensure annual organizational reviews of standards and procedures are conducted. Document findings and perform root cause analyses to provide recommended improvements. Independently propose solutions and collaborate with other technology areas to develop new standards and procedures. Ensure corrective actions are assigned, documented and completed; verify traceability in project work products; gather, maintain and create reports on quality metrics. Demonstrate sound understanding of concepts within the technical area and basic knowledge of related areas; understand how own area integrates within IT Quality. Act as advisor and mentor for junior team members; make evaluative judgments based on analysis of factual information in complex situations and provide solutions. Impact the team and related teams by ensuring the quality of tasks and information provided by self and others; communicate complex information effectively. Perform other duties and functions as assigned; assess risk in business decisions with attention to regulatory compliance and ethical standards. Qualifications
3-6 years of experience in an IT Quality role. Demonstrated execution capabilities. Development experience in a fast-paced, time-to-market environment; experience with test automation, test scenarios and test scripts creation/modification; comfortable with writing complex queries; experience with reporting tools; hands-on experience with testing automation tools. Project management experience preferred. Education
Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience. This role mainly involves Business Analysis, Test Coordination, Test Automation, minor enhancements and support for BAU activities. Prior development experience using Java/J2EE/Angular, Tableau Reporting and Data Analysis is preferred. Job Details
