System Administrator with demonstrated experience performing System Administration functions on Aircraft or Weapons Systems networks, and maintaining and upgrading network infrastructures across the NAVAIR community.
Install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system. Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users. Provide technical assistance to computer users. Analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate existing network system. Perform maintenance to ensure networks operate correctly with minimal interruption. Optimize the functionality and performance of hardware and software systems. Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans and capabilities. Respond to unexpected or unauthorized service interruptions and outages. Diagnose software and hardware failures to resolution. Implement and ensure security preventive measures are fully functioning. Qualifications
Must have current Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret. Interim TS to start. US Citizenship required. - U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance Experience with the following: 6-8+ years experience VMware/vSphere Enterprise Linux Software development environment Atlassian tools Familiarity with the following: Windows Server SAN Networking STIGs ACAS COMPTIA Security+ or other DOD INST 8570 compliant qualification required. Operating system certification (i.e. Windows or Linux). Knowledge of networking principles, theories, and concepts and ability to contribute to the development of new and innovative principles and concepts. Work environment is on-site, not hybrid or remote.
