We’re looking for a Managing Director to join our Capital Raising team in Principal Real Estate. In this role, your core focus will be to drive institutional asset raising activities for the firm’s real estate platform with investors in the Eastern US and Canada. Responsibilities include: Develop deep and strategic relationships with Limited Partners and investment consultants in the Eastern US and Canada Drive new real estate capital efforts for fund launches Provide clients, prospects, and consultants with ongoing updates about the investment philosophy, process and performance of real estate funds and platforms and act as primary contact when appropriate Participate in investment strategy meetings with portfolio managers Provide investor and market insights to the product development process, both new and existing Requirements include: Bachelor's degree or equivalent 10+ years related experience in real estate investment management, including 5+ years of real estate fundraising experience (10+ preferred) Established relationships with a spectrum of institutional investors and consultants Proven sales experience and pipeline development, preferably in the Eastern US and Canada. Must have the ability to travel, approximating 50% of the time Preferred skills include: Diligent, organized, strategic problem solver Experience working in collaboration with a team to raise capital Results oriented Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to build strong relationships High level of integrity Demonstrates a sense of urgency and energy Strategic and tactical as well as attention to ongoing details Series 7 & 63, Life Insurance certification required within 90 days of employment Salary Range: $205,000 - $277,000 / year Principal is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
