Area General Manager - Pipe & Precast (Manufacturing) The County Materials Family of Companies manufactures and delivers concrete construction products to meet the demand for growing communities. We are seeking an Area General Manager - Pipe & Precast for County Materials at our Oconomowoc, WI location. Responsibilities

Direct, manage, and optimize a location(s) overall operation, including production, sales, marketing, customer service, and financial performance (P&L). Ensure achievement of production objectives at the lowest cost consistent with County’s quality standards and customer delivery requirements. Set and drive sales initiatives, ensuring price, revenue, and profit goals. Provide overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of an assigned location(s). Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with County’s policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Prioritize, schedule, and delegate work assignments and directly supervise plant staff to ensure production objectives are met efficiently. Evaluate and improve methods, processes, and resource utilization to increase productivity, efficiency, and quality. Develop plans for maximum utilization of materials, machines, and team members. Review production costs and product quality; modify production and inventory control programs to maintain profitable operation. Develop and recommend plant capital and operating budgets to ensure conformance to budgets. Develop and implement sales strategies to drive price, revenue, and profitability; understand the market, dynamics, and customer base to maximize sales results. Develop, implement, and monitor business strategies to achieve company goals and maintain competitiveness. Lead, mentor, and develop managers, supervisors, and staff to drive engagement, productivity, and accountability. Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to safety standards and fostering a strong safety culture. Monitor key performance metrics, identify gaps, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners to support long-term growth. Stay current on industry trends, market dynamics, and customer needs to guide decision-making. Ensure compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory, and company requirements. Fast-paced manufacturing and professional office environment. Physical Requirements

Sitting frequently; Carrying/Lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally; Standing/Walking; Hearing; Talking. Experience & Qualifications

A minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible related experience in production and operations management required. 7–10 years in supervisory or managerial roles required. Hands-on experience with day-to-day plant operations and sales. Knowledge of production workflows, capacity planning, and resource allocation. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams. Involvement in long-term planning, budgeting, and cost optimization. Experience with process improvement and waste reduction. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with ERP and manufacturing and sales systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, MES).
