As an Unarmed Security Officer, you will be part of a dedicated security team that safeguards critical facilities, public infrastructure, and venues requiring enhanced security. Your role is vital in delivering specialized security services to our clients daily. Enforce company policies and procedures, assisting in the safety of employees, visitors, and the public. Serve as a guard in public areas, greeting and directing visitors, answering inquiries, and monitoring parking lots. Help maintain order, reporting any violations or issues to the contract manager. Visually inspect and account for objects in assigned areas, ensuring all items are safe and tracked, completing check sheets to report findings. Manage visitor access, monitor alarms and CCTV systems, and maintain logs and records pertinent to company operations. Patrol company grounds for safety and security discrepancies, locking and unlocking doors, and controlling lighting. Respond swiftly to emergency calls and assist as needed, notifying appropriate personnel or authorities. Document and investigate incidents, coordinating with company officials and law enforcement. Ensure a secure environment by managing access to restricted areas and detaining unauthorized individuals if necessary. Monitor alarm systems and electronic surveillance equipment diligently. Report hazardous conditions to the Safety Assistant for timely remediation. Conduct package inspections to prevent theft and contraband introduction. Qualifications: Must be mentally alert with the ability to exercise sound judgment and follow instructions. Fluency in English, with the ability to comprehend and fulfill both oral and written instructions, and produce clear reports. Must monitor electronic security systems effectively. Requirements: Education & Experience: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required. Licensing, Permits & Certifications: Valid California Driver's License or California ID required while on duty. Completion of First Aid and CPR training, maintaining current certification at all times. Possession of a valid BSIS Guard Card. Physical & Mental Requirements: Ability to perform a full range of security tasks requiring moderate to strenuous physical exertion under varying conditions.
