Our location in Lake Bluff, Illinois, currently has an opportunity for a

Sr Financial Analyst

to support our Business & Technology Services, office of the Chief Information Officer (CIO). The Senior Financial Analyst Provides FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis) support to the Corporate Business & Technology Services (BTS) organization. Oversees financial processes and activities and provides analytics to support strategic business decisions. What You Will Do

Serves as a business partner for the International, Medical Device and Abbott Diabetes Care within the Corporate BTS organization Leveraging Abbott Shared Services organization, oversees monthly close activities, provides clear and meaningful financial reporting and commentary. Ensures compliance and champions internal controls and procedures. Develops forecasts and prepares supporting analytics. Manages risks and opportunities through the use of external and internal signals and data. Develops contingency plans. Conducts regular financial reviews with cost center owners to communicate financial performance and provide valuable insight to help business achieve financial goals. Partners with the business to define, review and analyze the projects. Assists with preparation and review of Requests for Capital Expenditure (RCEs). Provides analytical support for contracts’ negotiations. Provides ad hoc analysis to support key projects or other related activity as required. Drives continuous improvements and simplifications in financial and business processes. Works both independently and in groups in a variety of situations requiring analytical and critical thinking skills. Education and Experience You Will Bring

Degree in Finance or Accounting. CPA, CMA or MBA preferred. 4 years minimum experience in financial planning, analysis and accounting. Proficient with financial modeling, systems, tools including Excel, Hyperion Essbase and SAP. Strong analytical, problem solving, variance analysis skills, accuracy and attention to detail. Effective communication skills; ability to synthesize complex, technical issues and summarize with clarity. Ability to manage many competing priorities and execute in a pressurized environment. The base pay for this position is $75,300.00 – $150,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
