This position is responsible for the processing Medicaid refunds, billing process, which includes the review and preparation of all hospital claims. Ensures the hospital bills a clean claim to the correct third party payor so that the turn around time for payment is minimal and a positive cash flow is maintained for the hospital. Performs follow-up until a payment or rejection is received. Working in conjunction with other finance departments, displaying initiative, efficiency and correcting problems so that all customer expectations are met. Requirements

Must stay up to date with required Epic upgrade training when necessary Age Specific Care Provided For:
N/A Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize one or more of the following: Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel Microsoft Outlook Meditech (if applicable to position) Epic (if applicable to position) Performance Manager/NetLearning Right Fax Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner. Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public. Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions. Medicaid experience is beneficial especially credits. Must have the ability to set priorities and handle multiple projects under deadlines. Must be able to make decisions that may have legal, ethical and financial impact on the organization. Must be able to perform all duties within the department if circumstances warrant such action.
