The Corporate Strategic Finance team is responsible for leading the consolidation of the Long Range Plan (LRP), peer benchmarking analysis and special projects including but not limited to corporate valuation workstreams, financial analysis to drive major initiatives to grow revenue, reduce expenses, and manage P&L volatility. This position will work across the Finance organization as well as partner with strategic planning teams in Commercial, Development, and Corporate Strategy. Manager, Corporate Strategic Finance , you will be an integral member of the Corporate Strategic Finance team and must have a strong track record of strategic thinking leveraging rigorous financial analysis, distilling insights into clear and cohesive executive presentations, and influencing senior leadership to act on key recommendations. This individual must be a self-starter with the ability to effectively navigate ambiguous situations in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Essential Duties & Job Functions
This role will be responsible for a sub-set of the following activities. Specific job duties will vary depending on project requirements. Support the Long Range Plan (LRP) consolidation process and model, collaborating with FP&A, Treasury, Controllership, and Tax. Responsible for collecting and analyzing benchmarking and peer comparisons to evaluate LRP forecast assumptions and outputs alongside broader financial planning initiatives. Participate in and/or lead process improvements to enhance the efficiency of LRP updates. Develop and maintain a peer benchmarking model, inclusive of corporate valuation, to determine key influences on Gilead’s share price. Communicate key business drivers and insights, variances from prior forecasts, opportunities and risks, and recommendations across all deliverables. Special projects may include: supporting CFO Office strategic initiatives, assisting with enterprise-level initiatives aimed at increasing revenue growth, managing P&L volatility, and reducing expenses, collaborating with PS&A to assess financial tradeoffs to support Portfolio Review, and aiding the evaluation of M&A deals post-acquisition. Basic Qualifications
High School Degree and 11 Years Experience; OR Associates Degree and 9 Years Experience; OR Bachelor's Degree and 7 Years Experience; OR Masters' Degree and 5 Years Experience. Preferred Qualifications
Investment banking experience is a plus. Strong quantitative and analytical skills including forecasting and financial modeling capabilities. Strong project management skills to drive efficient processes and ensure timely and accurate deliverables. Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to lead, resolve conflict, and drive consensus among individuals from a variety of cultures and disciplines. Able to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and have a “roll up the sleeves” attitude. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint. People Leader Accountabilities
