with proven experience building end-to-end web applications that are scalable, maintainable, and user-centric. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with deep expertise in
Ruby on Rails for backend development
and
React for modern, dynamic frontends . This role requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and DevOps engineers, to deliver robust APIs, intuitive user interfaces, and full-featured applications that drive critical business outcomes. The candidate should follow best practices in clean code, testing, and agile development while contributing across the entire development lifecycle. You’ll be doing: Design, build, and maintain reliable Ruby on Rails applications and APIs. Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, following industry best practices and design patterns. Collaborate with product and engineering teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable backend solutions. Maintain and optimize PostgreSQL or similar relational databases, ensuring performance and data integrity. Build and manage background jobs and asynchronous processing (e.g., Sidekiq). Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality and prevent regressions. Participate in code reviews and support continuous improvement of engineering processes. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes. The skills you bring: 5+ years of experience developing production applications with Ruby on Rails. Strong experience working with PostgreSQL or other relational databases. Familiarity with RESTful APIs, background jobs, and asynchronous task processing tools like Sidekiq. Solid understanding of MVC architecture, OOP principles, and clean coding practices. Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., RSpec, Capybara) and a test-driven development mindset. Proficiency with version control using Git and collaborative workflows (e.g., pull requests, code reviews). Experience working in Agile teams with fast-paced iterations and regular deployments. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with distributed teams. Work Schedule & Location: Location : This is a fully remote position open to candidates based in Poland or Mexico. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in their respective countries.

Full-time role based on a standard 40-hour workweek, Monday to Friday. - In Poland: Working hours are typically between 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM CET or 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM CET, depending on team alignment. - In Mexico: Working hours follow Central Time (CT), aligned with U.S. business hours.
Time Zone & Collaboration:
While the role operates primarily in EU and U.S. time zones, some flexibility is expected for meetings involving both regions. Meetings with U.S.-based teams typically occur during morning U.S. hours (afternoon CET / late morning CT) to enable global collaboration.
