This position is based out of our Westlake, TX office. Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chief Concrete Engineer in providing and managing concrete technical solutions Support with pre-bid evaluation, design constructability reviews, technical risk assessments and construction operations work planning (i.e., placing procedures, pumping, constructability reviews, mix design, value engineering, troubleshooting, proposal development, and training.) Assist in improving concrete quality and reducing concrete quality issues through proactive engagement with Jobsite personnel. Collaborate in developing concrete related design requirements and specifications for construction Interpret concrete materials properties and construction quality results including process control data Serve as field engineer during construction when interest and opportunities align Interpret/learn/apply client specific design methodologies, specifications, and standards Develop and maintain internal and external client relationships and construction partners, including project and non-project related face-to-face meetings Qualifications

B.S. degree in Civil Engineering. Master’s degree with emphasis in concrete or related engineering field preferred. 15 years of experience with a minimum of 10 years directly applicable to concrete (including mix designs, thermal control analysis, service life engineering, forensic analysis, troubleshooting, technical requirements, testing procedures, applicable codes, standards and best practices, ACI manual of concrete practice, etc.) Active US PE required Ability to travel in North America (expected travel approximately 25%) Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products Knowledgeable in concrete industry standards, such as ASTM, ACI and CSA Experience with industry specific software analysis and design software with emphasis related to concrete mixture proportioning, theremal modeling, and service life analysis Proficient written and verbal communication skills
