Sr DevOps/SRE What you will do
HTG is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps/SRE Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will automate, scale, and optimize our development and production environments. The candidate will lead and mentor a team, optimize deployment processes, enhance system reliability, and shape infrastructure architecture. Experience in networking, Agile methodologies, CI/CD, and AWS cloud services is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing Kubernetes clusters and virtual machines, with the ability to lead and mentor a team. Responsibilities
CI/CD Management: Design, implement, and manage Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, ArgoCD, SonarQube, Frog Antifactory, Azure DevOps. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Use Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to provision and maintain cloud and on-prem infrastructure. Cloud Infrastructure: Build and manage scalable infrastructure on AWS and Azure. Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices, including secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and access controls. Collaboration: Work with development teams to ensure system reliability and performance. Incident Management: Participate in on-call rotations and perform root cause analysis and post-mortems. Performance Tuning: Analyze and optimize system performance and scalability. Automation: Automate repetitive tasks and workflows to increase team efficiency. Networking: Manage networking configurations and security protocols within Kubernetes environments to ensure optimal communication and data flow. Agile Adoption: Drive the adoption of Agile methodologies for rapid development and delivery. AWS Cloud: Architect, deploy, and optimize cloud-based solutions for cost-effectiveness and scalability. Incident Troubleshooting: Investigate and troubleshoot production incidents with root cause analysis and corrective actions. Cross-functional Collaboration: Gather requirements and align technical solutions with business goals. Continuous Learning: Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices, integrating relevant advancements into the DevOps process. Minimum Qualifications
5+ years in Kubernetes administration (cluster provisioning, deployment, scaling, cost management) 5+ years in Kubernetes networking management (concepts, protocols, security in Kubernetes) 3+ years in AWS cloud services and infrastructure architecture 3+ years in Linux System Administration 3+ years in application monitoring using observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, NewRelic, ELK) 3+ years in Agile development environments 3+ years in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) 2+ years using Docker for container deployments 2+ years experience with automation pipelines using Java Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience) Leadership experience in previous team roles Strong communication and collaboration skills to convey complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders Desired Skills
Excellent problem-solving and proactive attitude toward challenges Strong communication and collaboration skills Certifications such as CKA, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, and relevant networking certifications are a plus
