Job Description
Centennial Technologies is seeking talented and motivated
AI/ML Engineers
with strong technical expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and modern AI frameworks. This role will focus on designing, developing, and deploying advanced AI models and intelligent systems to solve complex problems in healthcare, automation, and enterprise domains. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Python, PyTorch, and MLOps practices, and can translate research into production-ready solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and train machine learning and deep learning models for NLP, computer vision, and predictive analytics.
Implement and optimize models using Python, PyTorch, and related frameworks.
Build and maintain scalable data pipelines for preprocessing, feature engineering, and model training.
Deploy models into production environments using APIs, microservices, and cloud-native platforms.
Monitor, evaluate, and improve model performance, scalability, and reliability.
Research and experiment with state-of-the-art AI/ML methods (LLMs, transformers, generative AI).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI capabilities into applications and workflows.
Document model architectures, experiments, and workflows to ensure reproducibility.
Ensure AI solutions adhere to data privacy, compliance, and ethical AI practice.
Key Qualifications
10+ years of experience as a software developer, 6+ being in Microsoft technologies.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, AI/ML, or related technical field (Master’s preferred).
Expertise in programming languages such as Python, big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
Solid knowledge of classical ML algorithms, deep learning architectures, and modern AI techniques, large language models (LLMs), generative AI, and reinforcement learning.
3+ years of Azure experience building and deploying solutions within the platform.
2+ years of industry experience as an AI/ML Engineer, Data Scientist, or Applied Researcher.
Strong experience with machine learning and deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
Hands-on experience with MSFT Azure cloud platform and Azure OpenAI building, training and deploying models.
Strong understanding of software engineering best practices (Git, CI/CD)
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in healthcare, regulatory technology, or enterprise automation.
Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR, FedRAMP).
Experience with MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow, Weights & Biases, etc.)
Contributions to open-source AI projects or research publications.
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Work Conditions
Location: Hybrid – 4 days onsite in Tysons Corner, VA (preferred DC Metro candidates: VA, DC, MD).
