Position Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Associate to join NLG Capital’s growing Alternative Investments Team. This person will play a critical role in supporting our Private Asset ratings process, acting as a key point person with rating agencies as well as keeping senior management informed of the evolving Private Asset regulatory landscape. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Support the ratings process across individual co-investment opportunities, GP solutions, and other structured solutions (Rated Feeder Funds, Private CLOs, etc.). Conduct in-depth analysis of private asset ratings provided by leading rating agencies (e.g., Moody’s, S&P, Fitch). Evaluate the methodologies and criteria used by rating agencies to assess private assets. Stay current on emerging regulatory developments impacting the insurance asset management space. Interact directly with various rating agencies, providing supporting documentation and executing on our ratings process. Develop and maintain robust analytical models to evaluate the performance of rating agency models and structured solutions. Collaborate with internal stakeholders across the investment team, legal, and accounting. Minimum Qualifications Strong understanding of rating agency models as well as insurance asset management. Deep understanding of Rated Feeder Funds, Private CLOs and similar structures. Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with the ability to assess risk and clearly communicate relevant risk metrics to key stakeholders. Superior communication skills with the ability to effectively present ratings related proposals to senior management. Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of experience at a rating agency, or in private equity, fund financing, investment banking, or a related field. The base salary range for this role is between $125,000 – $175,000 annually. We are open to varying levels of experience. Compensation and Benefits The base compensation range represents the low and high end of the range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to qualifications, skills, competencies, location, and experience. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual bonus, quarterly bonuses, commissions, and other long-term incentive compensation, depending on the position.
