Job Description: This role originates loans for clients with residential mortgage needs and serves as the primary lending specialist in the financial center. Responsibilities include delivering First Mortgage and HELOC lending products in person or by phone and providing Auto Loans, Credit Cards, and Core Banking products. The role requires balancing sales performance, operational risk, and client relationship care. This position is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements, and employees must register with the federal registry and complete the SAFE Act background check and related processes. Failure to obtain and maintain SAFE Act registration may result in disciplinary action up to termination. Responsibilities: Provides specialized, personalized service offering advice and guidance to financial center clients across borrowing and banking offerings at each stage of the client life plan Builds and deepens relationships with new and existing clients by leveraging the bank’s full capabilities Analyzes client financial needs and applies knowledge of borrowing and banking to recommend suitable financial services Present housing lending product solutions, submit mortgage applications, assist clients with gathering required documentation, and keep clients informed throughout the mortgage process via outbound calls, email, and online messaging Engage with clients through outreach and pipeline management; conduct follow-ups to meet client needs Respond to client requests and refer to internal partners as appropriate Partner with financial center leaders, performance managers, and market leaders to provide guidance and coaching to associates for an exceptional client experience Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of mortgage origination experience; or, in lieu of this, prior Bank of America roles such as Home Service Specialist II, Lending Client Associate, Lending Client Support Manager, Lending Specialist, Senior Banker, Business Solutions Advisor or Financial Solutions Advisor for 1 year Knowledge of credit and home lending requirements Active listening with a proactive client engagement mindset Professional, effective, and confident communication; comfortable engaging clients in person or by phone Critical thinking to analyze financial and credit data and explain product/pricing policies and guidelines Strong customer service skills with ability to manage end-to-end client experience and resolution Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to handle ambiguity and adapt to change Dedicated, enthusiastic, driven, and performance-oriented with a strong work ethic Flexibility to work weekends or extended hours as needed Team player, capable of collaboration and building productive internal/external relationships Ability to learn and understand technology Commitment to professional ethics and compliance with all Federal and State policies Desired Qualifications: Experience in a financial center with goal attainment Ability to analyze complex financial data and present financial alternatives Knowledge of banking products and services Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks Experience in loan origination in a retail environment Knowledge of Mortgage Products (Conventional, Jumbo, HELOC, Government) and related structuring, processing, underwriting, and closing procedures FHA and HUD guidelines; experience with other lending products (Credit Cards, Vehicle Loans) Strong computer skills, including MS Office and laptop-based tools Minimum Education Requirement:
