Commercial Litigation Attorney-Full-Time Location: West Palm Beach , FL, 33407 What you will be doing: Prepare and respond to discovery, draft and argue motions, and prepare for mediations and trial. Draft pleadings and related documents for state and federal litigation and arbitration. Manage litigation and litigation strategy from inception through discovery and trial. Advise clients on legal risks and compliance in litigation and commercial transactions. Prepare for and attend mediation and negotiate resolutions of legal disputes. Work with the court, other attorneys, and offices of opposing counsel professionally. Experience you will need: Must be admitted to practice in Florida. 5-10 years of experience in commercial litigation. Experience in taking and defending depositions. Have practiced in one or more areas of civil litigation, such as real estate, contract, or construction. Ability to write effectively, think strategically and critically. High level of detail-orientation and exceptional writing and proofreading skills. Working knowledge of the processes of State and Federal litigation including e‐filing, trial procedures, discovery and document production. Law Degree from Accredited Law School. Member in Good Standing, The Florida Bar. Portable book of Business or desire to grow book of business is preferred, but not required.
