Overview
Brock & Scott, PLLC is seeking an Attorney to join its Bankruptcy Department, admitted to practice in both state and federal courts in Georgia. In this role, the attorney will work closely with support staff to draft and review documentation for bankruptcy cases, while managing the full scope of the bankruptcy process. This includes plan confirmations, motions for relief, contested matters, adversary proceedings, and other related legal actions. Court appearances throughout Georgia may be required.
Primary Responsibilities
Represent creditors in bankruptcy proceedings.
Review required notices, correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents.
Efficiently prepare and respond to written inquiries or disputes.
Attend and present motions and hearings before Georgia courts.
Participate in mediation sessions.
Advise clients through all stages of the bankruptcy process.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
Admission to the bar in Georgia (State, Federal, and Bankruptcy courts) with CM/ECF filing credentials.
Minimum of two years’ experience representing creditors in bankruptcy/insolvency matters.
Strong knowledge of secured creditor issues.
Detail-oriented with excellent multitasking and prioritization skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a team environment and with senior management.
