Overview
Associate Software Engineer-Secure Networks & Protocols at The Boeing Company in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This role supports the Ground Systems Operating Systems (GSOS) team and focuses on the concept, requirements, architecture, design and development of an advanced ground operating system, including network stack protocol software for secure data exchange between systems. Position Responsibilities
Assist with the design, development, architecture, and maintenance of software solutions for network stack protocol software used to securely exchange data between systems Participate in performance analysis, testing, monitoring and software assessments of networking protocol software to identify risks, weaknesses and vulnerabilities Gather information to provide input on secure networks and protocols throughout the end-to-end lifecycle of software products Support software project management activities and software supplier management functions This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security clearance (Post-Start). Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
1+ years of experience in Linux deployment and administration including bash scripting, remote access, and deployment 1+ years of experience in basic networking, storage administration, and package management 1+ years of experience in basic virtualization principles 1+ years of experience in containerization and Kubernetes familiarity Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science Knowledge of communications and network concepts and principles Knowledge of secure communications and methods to ensure system survivability Knowledge of multi-discipline integrating issues in communications and network systems Knowledge of software programming languages and databases applicable to software development Ability to solve difficult network problems and to model, simulate, and emulate network systems Experience with real-time software considerations and integration of hardware and software components Other required program details:
