We have a Client relationship group overseeing organizational service performance and strategic partnerships for our top tier client base.
Our Business Intelligence and Process Re-engineering group delivers automation solutions to operational challenges and partners with Citi’s innovation labs to drive optimization and transformation toward the target operating model.
Our Technology partners develop and implement applications to support Operations, Change, Design and Implementation. We focus on a containerized cloud environment, data lineage and optimization, and growing capabilities in artificial intelligence, natural language processing and machine learning. We operate in a robust control environment, comply with global regulations and internal policies, and proactively identify opportunities to reduce risk.
We work with external peers, partners, and regulators and play a role in leading an agenda to optimize and streamline processes and drive strategy across the industry.
Job Purpose The Strategic Equity Solutions (SES) / Equity Derivative Middle Office role is a VP level position responsible for providing operational support to the SES Origination and Trading desks in coordination with the wider Markets Operations - Equity Derivatives Middle Office teams. The objective is to provide best in class operation support for the SES Business, enabling timely end to end trade processing of Structured Derivatives and ensuring clearance, settlement and investigation of these securities and derivatives transactions.
Responsibilities
Resolve complex process problems which require an in-depth evaluation of basic securities processing procedures and industry standards
Process various SES Business tasks/functions, including structured trade review and trade processing, reconciling margin loan collateral cash and position holdings, and trade capture exception management
Offer advanced solutions for assigned securities & derivative processing areas
Provide guidance and assistance to junior staff
Oversee the setup / onboarding of new SES Clients, representing the SES Middle Office team, and acting as the analytical and operations expert
Serve as analytical or procedural expert for securities processing deliverables/initiatives
Assist with the development of new techniques and streamlining the SES front to back securities & derivatives processing activities
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
Qualifications
5-8 years of relevant experience
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Education
Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
