About the Opportunity The Fire Alarm Monitoring Compliance Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the monitoring services for fire alarm systems across all our company locations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fire alarm monitoring protocols, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to improve system performance and reporting accuracy.
Compensation This is a salaried position - salary is negotiable based on candidate experience Potential Quarterly & Annual bonuses Responsibilities
Alarm Signal Oversight Monitor and respond runaway, late-to-test, communication failure signals from fire alarm systems. Track recurring issues and coordinate with alarm managers to generate service calls. Develop and implement a repeatable onboarding and offboarding procedure for customers. Manage call lists and updates to customer accounts in coordination with management. Alarm History and Reporting Access monitoring records to support alarm team for activity reporting, including activations, false alarms, and system faults. Analyze historical data to identify patterns or areas of concern. Prepare and distribute weekly reports to internal managers that include active locations, trouble locations, and canceled locations. Monitoring Relationship Management Maintain all fire alarm monitoring service contracts. Ensure contracts are up-to-date and aligned with organizational requirements. Serve as the primary liaison between monitoring service providers and internal teams. Integrate acquired monitoring accounts from a business acquisition to our primary vendor. Compliance and Documentation Ensure adherence to all local, state, and national fire code requirements (e.g., NFPA 72). Maintain UL certificates in jurisdictions that require UL listing Assist with internal and external audits related to fire alarm monitoring and compliance. Create SOPs and support training initiatives related to alarm monitoring procedures and response protocols. Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of experience in fire alarm monitoring at a UL monitoring facility preferred, but not required. Knowledge of fire alarm systems, monitoring protocols, and NFPA 72 requirements. Strong organizational and data review skills. Proficiency in alarm monitoring databases and reporting tools. Communication and vendor management skills.
