Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the automotive industry, with experience in dealership environments and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. As a Service Advisor, you will act as the primary point of contact for customers, guiding them through their vehicle service needs while ensuring satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships.
Responsibilities
Greet customers and assess their vehicle service needs, providing expert recommendations based on mechanical knowledge and diagnostics.
Manage the service writing process, including creating detailed work orders and estimates for repairs and maintenance.
Upsell additional services and products to customers based on their vehicle's condition and maintenance history.
Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of services while maintaining high-quality standards.
Handle customer inquiries and concerns effectively, ensuring a positive service experience.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, service history, and transactions.
Provide information on various automotive services including oil changes, brake repair, transmission work, alignment, suspension, tire services, diesel engine repair, and auto body repair.
Assist in cash handling processes as required.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a dealership setting or automotive service management is preferred.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients regarding technical information.
Knowledge of automotive diagnostics and mechanical systems is essential.
Experience with upselling services and products in an automotive context is highly desirable.
Familiarity with auto estimating processes and sales techniques related to automotive repair services.
Ability to understand complex mechanical issues related to vehicles including air brakes, shocks & struts, and general vehicle maintenance.
Previous experience as a mechanic or service technician is a plus.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and documentation.
