What will I do as a MIT with Insomnia Cookies? Perform as Manager-on-Duty during scheduled shifts when Store Ops Manager (GM) is not present. Supervise, train, and coach 2-5 team members engaged in cookie sales and customer deliveries. Lead onboarding and initial training for new hourly staff. Conduct initial interviews for potential new hires (Cookie Crew, Shift Leaders, and Delivery Drivers) in the manager’s absence. Support Store Ops Manager with ordering, inventory control, and scheduling. Hold staff accountable to Insomnia Cookies’ standards (baking, uniform, company policies, etc.). Ensure all team members provide excellent customer service and upselling. Desired skills/experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience within a restaurant or retail store Experience conducting in-person interviews for hourly support staff Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems Proficiency with MS Office, Word, and Applicant Tracking Systems Ability to work a 4-5 day work week with 1-2 mid-to-late shifts (Thurs-Sun) Must be 18 years or older and legally eligible to work in the United States About us: Insomnia Cookies was founded in a college dorm room by Seth Berkowitz.
