Overview

The

Assistant Store Manager

plays a pivotal role in supporting the daily operations of one or more self-storage locations, under the guidance of the District Manager and Store Manager. This role ensures the facility meets high cleanliness standards and consistently delivers operational excellence. The Assistant Manager is accountable for building customer relationships, presenting a structured sales process, and managing customer accounts. Location notes: This position will work between multiple stores in the district. This location is closed on Sundays. Day shift only: Office closes at 6pm. Salary: $16.50-$17.50 per hour. Your Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong customer relationships by identifying storage needs and providing tailored solutions

Maximize sales objectives through unit rentals, unit insurance, and moving supplies

Ensure high standards of cleanliness through ongoing maintenance of the site, including the office and interior/exterior areas

Perform daily site safety inspections, including lock checks

Address and resolve customer concerns related to billing, security, auctions, and proper site usage

Handle cash transactions, balance receipts, follow up on delinquent payments, process customer payments, and complete daily bank deposits

Protect the company culture by maintaining professional relationships with all employees

Perform additional duties as assigned

Your Qualifications

1+ year of customer-facing work experience

Sales experience preferred

Current valid driver’s license and access to a reliable personal vehicle; except in New York City and Brooklyn

High School diploma or GED is required; college education is a plus

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Perform indoor and outdoor duties with a range of physical activities and exposure to seasonal weather conditions

Regular tasks include standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, sitting, and lifting

Regularly required to lift or move items up to 35 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
