Description
The Camera performance team works cross-functionally to optimize and sustain the camera experience for both next-generation and existing products. As a Camera Performance manager, you’ll work closely with engineering teams to ensure great performance is a primary goal for new features, maintain and optimize user experience for existing devices, and collaborate with automation and analytics teams to build tests that reflect real-world usage. You’ll manage a team of highly motivated engineers who can identify root causes of power and performance issues and resolve them. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with technology partners, including silicon groups, design teams, and camera hardware designers, to influence future chip designs, evaluate UI performance implications, and understand thermal impacts of camera technologies. Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of OS, systems, and computer architecture 3+ years leading a software engineering team Expertise in software profiling tools (e.g., Xcode, Valgrind, Instruments, VTune, Perfetto) Strong cross-functional collaboration skills Experience analyzing complex data and metrics for data-driven decisions Preferred Qualifications
BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related experience Experience with real-time audio/video processing pipelines Proficiency with GPU & TPU hardware for image processing and AI/ML workloads Experience with power measurement and thermal analysis At Apple, base pay ranges from $198,300 to $342,800, depending on skills, experience, and location.
