Overview
Aramark Healthcare+ is seeking candidates for an Environmental Services Director position at Bryn Mawr Hospital, Bryn Mawr, PA. This is a management position responsible for developing and executing custodial solutions to meet customer needs. Responsible for servicing and/or maintaining a physical location or site to client specifications. Manages day-to-day operations of Environmental Services (Housekeeping) and Linen Distribution, including overall cleanliness of the facility, patient/resident room cleaning, floor care, trash removal and biohazardous waste handling. Drives patient satisfaction scores and employee engagement. Job Responsibilities
Plans, controls and directs all cleaning, sanitizing and waste removal functions within a healthcare facility to meet operating and financial goals, client objectives and customer needs Leadership: Overall ownership and accountability of operational management and financial performance of the unit Model key leadership behaviors and ensure safety, quality and service excellence for employees, clients and consumers Coach employees by creating a shared understanding about what needs to be achieved and how it is to be achieved Reward and recognize employees Identify and engage top talent and develop team members within the organization Plan and lead team management meetings Ensure safety and sanitation standards in all operations Manage the budget, forecasting and ensure the completion and maintenance of P&L statements; deliver client and company financial targets Adopt Aramark processes and systems, understand performance metrics, data, order and inventory trends; educate teams on key levers to improve margins Oversee the management of day-to-day operations of the Environmental Services and Laundry/Linen Departments Ensure the distribution of supplies, hold shift huddles, scheduling and training; monitor performance Manage floor care, trash removal and biohazardous waste removal, overall cleanliness of the building, and patient room cleaning Participate in Environment of Care rounding and ensure patient satisfaction rounding is conducted by management; provide service recovery to drive patient satisfaction and HCAHPS scores Conduct quality audits and inspections Communicate and build relationships with other department leaders Note: At Aramark, developing new skills and doing what it takes to get the job done; duties may change or be assigned without formal notice Qualifications
Environmental Services (Housekeeping) Management or Director level experience required Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Healthcare experience preferred Proficient with computers and technology Ability to lead and motivate a team of managers and hourly workforce About Aramark
