The
Housekeeping Manager
will be responsible for management and day-to-day operations of the Housekeeping department. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Conduct inspections of guest rooms and public areas while providing exceptional service, including supporting the Director of Housekeeping. Manage the housekeeping team, including mentoring, coaching, counseling, and training. Build an exceptional housekeeping team supporting the Director of Housekeeping. Utilize Workday software and recruiting systems. Perform regular hotel inspections to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards. Hire, train, supervise, and develop staff for effectiveness. Maintain employee relations, ensuring proper training and culture integration. Establish safe working conditions through training. QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Over two years’ experience in luxury resort housekeeping. Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office; Opera experience preferred. Proficiency in primary workplace languages; strong reading and writing skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to supervise staff, assign duties, evaluate service, and enforce discipline. Capable of analyzing data and using computer-generated reports. Knowledge of hotel housekeeping operations and cost control techniques. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Position involves walking, standing, and giving directions most of the day; must be able to exert mobility for up to 6 hours. Ability to lift 15-40 lbs. regularly, and perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and stretching. Finger dexterity is required for operating office equipment. The pay scale for Housekeeping Manager is $70,000.00 - $75,000.00, exclusive of incentives. *The pay range is the base salary or hourly wage, excluding incentives like commissions or gratuities.
