Teach Psychology courses in the Behavioral Sciences Department under the Behavioral, Social Sciences and Global Learning Division. Courses may include Introduction to Psychology, Psychology of Personal Adjustment, Child Psychology, Personality, and Adolescent/Adult Development. Courses may be offered at any of the BHCC campuses, satellite campuses, partner sites, or instructional sites, including but not limited to Brighton Public High School, Madison Park High School, Malden High School, PAO Center, and Freedom House. Responsibilities
Teach Psychology courses as described in the Job Description above. Qualifications
Master\'s degree or Ph.D. in Psychology or related field. Evidence of engagement in culturally responsive pedagogies. Experience with high impact teaching and learning practices (examples: undergraduate research, community engagement, critical pedagogies, learning communities). Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population. Preferred Qualifications
Community college teaching experience preferred. Our students come from a variety of cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds, and we are dedicated to providing them with the support they need to succeed. While not required, the ability to read, speak, and write in Spanish or another language is preferred. Additional Information
Salary:
$1,397 Per Credit Hour Effective Date:
Fall 2024 semester; open until filled Applicants who do not meet the qualifications as noted above are encouraged to put in writing precisely how their background and experience has prepared them with the equivalent combination of education, training and experience required for the responsibilities of this position.
