This role combines journalism, strategy, and marketing. EarthX is seeking a sharp, informed content creator and editor to craft compelling blogs, op-eds, interview features, campaign copy, and thought leadership pieces that reflect our unique positioning as a multi-partisan, solutions-oriented environmental convening platform. You’ll help EarthX shape the public dialogue around sustainability, investment, innovation.
Responsibilities
Research, write, and edit original blog content, articles, and profiles of speakers, partners, or grantees Support the marketing and communications team with copy for campaigns, newsletters, media kits, websites, and advertising Interview experts, speakers, and attendees to create human-driven storytelling across EarthX themes Collaborate with PR and communications teams to shape press narratives and talking points Draft talking points and ghostwritten op-eds for leadership Ensure content is audience-centric, searchable (SEO), and aligned with EarthX’s brand voice and tone Maintain editorial calendar and manage freelance writers, if needed Qualifications
5–8 years experience in content creation, journalism, communications, or copywriting Deep familiarity with the environmental landscape—policy, business, science, and activism Exceptional writing and editing skills with ability to tailor voice for different audiences Comfort interviewing high-level speakers and distilling technical content into accessible language Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Experience working within CMS platforms (WordPress), SEO, and basic newsletter tools Please submit your resume, cover letter, and salary requirements.
