Trinity Parish is seeking a relational, joyful, and spiritually mature leader to serve as
Director of Children and Family Ministry.
This person will guide and grow our ministries for children (birth through Confirmation) and their families—helping them encounter the transforming love of Jesus Christ and flourish in their Christian faith. You’ll join a dedicated clergy and staff team, working collaboratively to cultivate a culture of joy, hospitality, and discipleship on our two campuses in St. Augustine and St. Johns County, Florida. We are a vibrant, growing, theologically orthodox Episcopal church. We have 1,400 members with around 550 people in-person, 150 households online, and between 60-70 children, birth through thirteen years old, worshiping on our campuses. Our mission is simple:

That vision begins with our youngest members. We want children to have a joyful, lasting, lifelong experience of the triune God through the beauty of the Christian tradition—Baptism prep, First Communion, Acolytes, Children’s Chapel, Scripture School, and Confirmation. What You’ll Do
Partner with clergy to cast vision, set goals, and shape the calendar for children’s ministries. Oversee and develop all ministry to children: both Sunday morning programming and outside events Select and/or develop curriculum to help children have a lifelong faith Recruit, train, and support a team of passionate volunteers and engaged parents. Be a visible presence in our parish preschools and family life events. Contribute creatively to ministries that support mothers and families. Manage the children’s ministry budget and oversee supplies and materials. Collaborate with our Communications Director to promote children’s ministries well. Stay current on best practices in children’s ministry and faith formation. Maintain attendance records and ensure Safe Church compliance for all volunteers. Supervise nursery staff and coordinate scheduling and payroll. Attend weekly staff meetings and contribute to our collaborative staff culture. Who You Are

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Education or related field preferred. 3+ years experience in children’s ministry, Christian education, teaching, or a related field. Familiarity with Word, Excel, basic publishing and database software and will use Planning Center. Must pass a background check and complete Safe Church training.
