Overview

Position Summary: We are seeking highly qualified and experienced Project Safety Assistants (PSAs) to support the safety management needs of large-scale building construction projects. Responsibilities

Monitor and support compliance with on-site health and safety programs. Conduct safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations. Lead site safety meetings. Maintain records of safety inspections, incidents, and training. Help ensure the implementation and maintenance of hazard communication, PPE, and emergency response protocols. Qualifications

5 years full-time work experience in building construction safety. A 4-year degree in construction safety. Must have at least 1 year of field experience in building construction safety. Preferably CSP (Certified Safety Professional). Preferably CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician). Must have knowledge and experience for Emergency First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Certifications and Training

Current continuing education (within the last three years) in Fall protection; Scaffolds (ground supported and suspended); Excavation/trench; Confined space (permit/non-permit); Crane operations; Electrical; Incident investigation; Industrial hygiene for construction; Fire protection and prevention; Lockout/tagout; Basic crane rigging; Respiratory protection. Certification of completion for: OSHA 510 (Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry); OSHA 500 (Trainer Course for Construction); OSHA 502 (Update for the Construction Industry Outreach Trainer).
